How many design concepts do I get?
A. 
I normally present a choice of three or four ideas depending on the project, too many ideas and it gets confusing. The average seems to be three but some designers will present one idea which is a fait accompli, I wouldn’t be happy with one idea I would prefer a choice as I’m sure you would too.

How long does it take?
A. 
It really depends on the project and the amount of work involved as each one is different and every client is different. Once I have the brief from the client and understand his or her specific goals I can determine a time frame and give the client a few realistic options, it varies from one week to four weeks or longer.

What is your creative process?
A. 
The creative process starts from the initial client brief and agreement on strategy, researching the clients business and their competitors, scribbling and developing ideas, design concepts, digital artwork, tweaking and presenting ideas to the client. The completion time depends on how quickly the client responds with feedback and how many revisions are involved before the project is finally approved.

Do you involve the client?
A. 
Yes, it’s a two-way process so I’ll discuss with the client what they want to achieve with the new project, the direction it will take or if they have any pre-conceived ideas before I start the work. I like to get as much information as possible from them so I can deliver an effective design solution to meet their needs. Client input is critical to the success of the project so I welcome any interaction, but always keep an open mind to any suggestions and feedback.

What are your charges?

Every client is different, so every design project is too. Before I prepare an estimate for a new project I need to understand the needs of the client, their business and what they’re looking for. Send an email or give me a call with some information then I can send you some costs.
Q. 
What are your terms?
A. 
  • When first working with new clients who I have had no prior working relationship with I ask for 50% deposit of the total fee prior to work commencing. The project can be sheduled once the down payment is received by Molineux & Company. The down payment is non refundable. The remaining 50% is payable to Molineux & Company upon completion of the project and before original artwork is supplied to the client.
  • If you wish to proceed with the project a purchase order would be required before any work is commenced.
  • I work on a project basis, so everything I provide is costed in advance. I operate with integrity – if the scale, demands or direction of a project should shift, I will advise and discuss any impact this may have on the related budgets, promptly and professionally.
  • Any additional work or purchases requested by the client will be quoted, itemised and charged as extra to the estimate. This includes: artwork/copy revisions incurred by client corrections, additional photography, library images or illustrations.
  • Additional Royalty Free Library images will be charged from £30 each, cost includes time archiving for suitable images.
  • If, after project commencement, client communication (face-to-face, telephone, or email) stops for a period of 180 days, the project can be cancelled, in writing by Molineux & Company, and ownership of all copyrights shall be retained by Molineux & Company. A cancellation fee for work completed shall be paid by the client, with the fee based on the stage of project completion. The fee will not exceed 110% of the total project cost.
  • Commercial and Intellectual property rights for the design and artwork belong to Molineux & Company, the copyright and ownership of this work can only be transferred to the client upon receiving full payment of the agreed fee.
  • Invoices will be submitted for payment of each itemised piece of work on completion and approval by the client.
  • My payment terms are 30 days from the date of invoice.
  • All costs are subject to VAT.
  • Confidentiality: The client shall inform Molineux & Company in writing before the project commences if any portion of any material or information provided by the client or if any portion of the project is confidential.
